Users revealed that the ban is only for those Android users who are using the popular third-party client WhatsApp+ or WhatsApp Plus.
WhatsApp has asked the users to uninstall WhatsApp+ or WhatsApp Plus and install the authorised version of the Android app from Google Play. After the installation the users will be able to use the authorised app after a 24 hours ban.
Whatsapp Plus is not associated to WhatsApp and it includes codes which are not supported by the messaging service. And that WhatsApp will not be liable for the loss of user’s information and leaked data while using the third-party app.
Whatsapp Plus ia a malware and people should avoid using it fot their own security as there are chances of personal information getting leaked, a report said.
The FAQ section of WhatsApp also states the same “WhatsApp Plus is an application that was not developed by WhatsApp, nor is it authorised by WhatsApp. The developers of WhatsApp Plus have no relationship to WhatsApp, and we do not support WhatsApp Plus. Please be aware that WhatsApp Plus contains source code which WhatsApp cannot guarantee as safe and that your private information is potentially being passed to 3rd parties without your knowledge or authorization.”
Reportedly, WhatsApp is reframing its own web client to build a new code inside Whatsapp update that is related to WhatsApp web that will help logging in to a web service and as well as in tracking statuses online.
