These Samsung Galaxy A series phones may come with water-resistant design – Rashtra News
Samsung is reportedly planning to bring water resistance feature to more Galaxy A series models. The feature was first introduced to Galaxy A52 last year. The handset offered an IP67 rating then. It was eventually introduced to the high-end Samsung Galaxy A72 in 2021.
Currently, Samsung offers a water-resistance rating with all its smartphones under the Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, and foldable series.
According to a report by The Elec, the South Korean smartphone maker may launch more phones with water resistance design under the Galaxy A series in 2022. The devices are said to come with an affordable price tag. The move is aimed to better compete with Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Oppo.
As per the report, Samsung Galaxy A33 could be the first Galaxy A series phone to come with an IP rating in 2022. It may get an IP67 rating. This may eventually be expanded to the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A53 5G, and Galaxy A73.
Samsung Galaxy A33 expected specs
As per rumours, Samsung Galaxy A33 could feature a 6.4-inch Infinity-U hole-punch display. The smartphone may offer a full-HD+ Super AMOLED panel and is tipped to come with four camera sensors at the back. The camera module could be rectangular in shape.
The device is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery. It is rumoured to be a 5G phone that may measure 159.7x74x8.1mm and have a thickness of 9.7mm. The device may give a miss to the 3.5mm headphone jack. It is tipped to debut in January next year in two colour options- Black and Blue.
