Bengal v Baroda | Bengal continues to stumble. Sudip Gharami is out for 21, dismissed by Atit Sheth. Abhishek Porel, the wicketkeeper, and Shahbaz Ahmed are batting. Bengal 47 for 5 in the 23rd over.

Saurashtra v Mumbai | Ajinkya Rahane hasn’t found the going easy this morning. Here’s Ayan Acharya, our correspondent, reporting from Ahmedabad: A lot more movement in the air today compared to yesterday. Chetan Sakariya and Jaydev Unadkat have also looked to pitch the ball a little further up. Rahane has been beaten a few times already. First boundary off Rahane’s bat, leg glance for four.

Gujarat v MP | Another wicket, for left-arm seamer Arzan Nagwaswalla, his fourth. He tests Ishwar Pandey with short deliveries, and Pandey can’t help but fend one away from his body to short leg. The third umpire checks for the no-ball, it’s mighty close! Maybe just a particle of his boot was behind the crease when it landed – out. Madhya Pradesh 245 for 8.

Delhi v TN | Simarjeet has been dismissed lbw for 19 by M. Mohammed. Lalit Yadav reaches half-century. His partnership with Simarjeet was worth 48. Delhi eight wickets down now.

Bengal v Baroda | And a fourth now, for Baroda. Tiwary is also out for 0, bowled by Atit Sheth. Bengal 29 for 4 in the 18th over, runs 152 away from Baroda’s total.

Bengal v Baroda | Two wickets for Baroda. Sudip Chatterjee is out for 11, dismissed by Lukman Meriwala, and No. 4 Anustup Majumdar was dismissed for a duck. Manoj Tiwary, the West Bengal sports minister, is the new batter. Opener Sudip Gharami is batting on 12.

Delhi v TN | The second day’s play has begun, at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati. Lalit Yadav needs four more runs to get to his half-century. Simarjeet Singh is batting on 16. Delhi 292 for 7 in 91 overs.

Ajinkya Rahane’s century on day one was an important one for him, but it was also important for his team. Rahane and Sarfaraz Khan frustrated Saurashtra to get Mumbai to a good position, and fans will be keen for more milestones on day two. Rahane’s innings bodes well for the Indian team after his string of low scores in Test matches, and he will hope there are many more runs with the red ball this season.

But who knows, if the new ball yields numerous wickets today, Cheteshwar Pujara may come out to bat, too. So there’s plenty to look forward to.

Ranji Trophy 2019-20 runner-up Bengal, at 24 for 1 against Baroda, will want to gallop past Baroda’s first-innings score of 181. How many will veteran Manoj Tiwary score?
