This is Aneesh Dey bringing you the pre-match buildup and minute-by-minute updates of this high-voltage clash.
Half-time (Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal)
Two added minutes!
45′ Shot- Smith-Rowe shows quick feet to wriggle out of a crowded situation in the Chelsea box. He takes the shot but cannot keep it on target.
42′ It has been a half of attacking masterclass but a poor defensive show to be honest, especially by Arsenal. The Gunners took the lead twice in the half but could not keep either lead for more than five minutes.
38′ Saka had taken a good run down the right flank but was blatantly brought down by Marcos Alonso as the Spaniard tugged at Saka’s shirt.
32′ GOOOAAAALLLL! CHELSEA EQUALIZES AGAIN!! IT IS AZPILICUETA!! Mount swung a lovely cross to the edge of the six-yard box from the left flank. Azpilicueta, whose run was not noticed, rose and headed the ball inside the net for a lovely goal.
27′ GOOOAAALLLL!! ARSENAL TAKES THE LEAD AGAIN!! ITS SMITH-ROWE!! A classic counter attack by Arsenal and Emile-Smith Rowe finishes it with a calm finish in the bottom right-corner of Mendy. The Chelsea keeper dived but could not reach the ball. A lovely finish.
23′ Nketiah finds himself in a good position as he gets his header away but he cannot keep his effort on the target.
17′ GOOOAAAALLLL!!! CHELSEA EQUALIZES!! ITS WERNER!! Werner cuts in from the left and shoots with his right. The shot takes a massive deflection and ends up inside the goal past an outstretched Ramsdale.
13′ GOOOOAAALLL!! ARSENAL TAKES THE LEAD!! ITS EDDIE NKETIAH!! Horrible mistake by Christensen as he tried to find his keeper with a loose backward pass. The pass did not have much power as Nketiah pounced on the ball and made no mistake in running inside the box and slotting the ball home past Mendy at the back of the net.
11′ Shot- Smith-Rowe concedes possession as Loftus-Cheek snatches the ball from him. He passes to Lukaku who drives into the box and shoots across goal. He does not miss the target by much.
8′ Mount puts in a floating corner but Arsenal deal with it fairly easily as the ball is cleared to safety.
5′ Arsenal tries to counter from Chelsea’s second corner. Smith Rowe finds the ball right in front of Arsenal’s box but he cannot do anything with it as he loses possession.
4′ Block- Alonso shoots as the ball was flicked to him from a Chelsea corner but it is blocked.
3′ Elneny tries to shoot from outside the box but it is blocked.
