IND vs NZ, 2nd TEST: Highlights | Report
Head coach Rahul Dravid gave Rs 35,000 from his own pocket to the groundsmen for preparing a sporting pitch at the Green Park Stadium which witnessed a nail-biting draw over five days.
“I think it was good to finish the series as winners, came close in Kanpur, not able to get that last wicket, had to work hard here. This result seems one-sided, but right through the series, we were made to work hard.
“There have been phases where we were behind and had to fight back, credit to the team. Great to see the boys stepping up and taking their opportunities,” Dravid said after the win in Mumbai.

Dravid went on to add that the series scoreline did not reflect how hard India had to work throughout the two Tests.
“I know this result looks a bit one-sided but right through the series we’ve been made to work hard. There have been phases of the game where we’ve been behind and had to fight back. Credit to the team for pulling themselves out of some difficult positions,” the coach added.
New Zealand’s dogged batters had denied India victory in the first Test after their last pair hung on for 52 balls in a thrilling final session.
But they were unable to show the same kind of resistance on Monday with India needing just 43 minutes in the first session to wrap up the win after New Zealand had resumed on 140-5.
