5 January 2015,New Delhi.Surya Foundation and International Naturopathy Organisation (INO) organized a civic reception on January 05 2015 (Monday) at the Constitutional Club to honour Shri Shripad Naik, Minister of State for AYUSH, Govt of India. Shri Jaiprakash, Chairman-INO presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Shripad Naik, Minister of State for AYUSH said that AYUSH Ministry is determined to work towards a healthy India and will leave no stone unturned to achieve this end. The National AYUSH Mission and the Ministry would be setting up a Task Force at the National level to give a push to the traditional Systems of Medicine.
The Minister said that a budget of Rs 52 crores has been earmarked for Regional Yog and Naturopathy research.
The Minister also said that the Central Council for Research in Yog & Naturopathy (CCRYN) and National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN) have Started disbursing grants for propagation and spread of Naturopathy again. These had not been disbursed for some time in the recent years. He also said that for developing Naturopathy an Advisor and Deputy Advisor would soon be appointed in the National AYUSH Mission.
On this occasion, the INO inaugurated a Seminar on Naturopathy. Over 500 renowned specialists / practitioners of Naturopathy participated in the seminar.
Speaking at the civic reception, the Chairman of Surya Foundation and INO, Shri Jaiprakash said that because Naturopathy is an excellent system which is both easy and economical to follow, INO has taken up the challenge of taking it to the maximum number of people. It is on this account that nationally and internationally over 20,000 members of INO, through the medium of Yog and Naturopathy, are providing medical services to the common people.
Shri Jaiprakash said that it is the result of the efforts of INO that the Government understood the importance of Yog and Naturopathy and set up an independent AYUSH Ministry. He also said that it is the good sense and far sightedness of the Modi Government, that under the AYUSH Mission, they have setup the National AYUSH Mission for all round development and Naturopathy, for a healthy society, and made budgetary provisions amounting to Rs 5,000 crores for this.
Expressing his gratitude at this positive step of the Govt, Mr Jaiprakash expressed the hope that this will revolutionalise health services in the country.
On this occasion, the International Head of INO, Shri Amrit Moonat said that it is the endeavour, dream and belief of INO that opportunities for new jobs would be created for lakhs of our youth through Naturopathy Preventive and Protective healthcare in the country would get an impetus which would result in a healthy and happy people in the country.
Dr. Manchanda, heart specialist, said that Yog and Diet can help prevent heart disease and high blood pressure.
Former CBI Director and the Head of ‘Life Positive’ Shri DR Kartikeyan said that for good heath of the people all round development of AYUSH is critical. The Govt has taken a number of positive steps in this direction.
The Chief of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan Shri Jawahar Lal, Shri Vinod Mittal of Yog Manav Sewa Sansthan Shri DR Karthikeyan of Life Positive, Shri Arvind Varchasviya of Art of Living, Director Haryana AYUSH-Dr. Sangeeta Nehra, former AYUSH Director of Karnataka Shri Kanthaiah, Shri Hari Aasudaani of Arogya Bharati, Acharya Ramgopal Dixit and other eminent personalities were felicitated by Shri Shripad Naik.
Dr. Anant Biradar, INO National General Secretary gave a rundown of the activities of the INO and said that it is the firm resolve of INO to take Yog and Naturopathy services to the ordinary people living in far flung area in pitiable conditions, in the absence of medical facilities. Dr. Biradar also said that every member of INO should take up Yog and Naturopathy as a mission.
