Movie Preview: Horror infused with erotica grab eyeballs in ‘Alone

Storyline: The story revolves around conjoined twins Anjana and Sanjana, played by Bipasha Basu, who had promised to be together always. ‘We will always be together. We will never separate’, promised both the sisters. However, mysterious circumstances lead to the death of one sister. It has given rise to a series of chilling incidents which prompt the surviving sisters to believe that the ghost of her dead twin is haunting her. Why was the promise broken, is what the film is all about.

Preview: Helmed by Bhushan Patel who has previously directed hit horror films ‘1920: Evil Returns’ and ‘Ragini MMS 2’, the movie stars Bipasha Basu as Anjana and Sanjana and TV actor Karan Singh Grover, who makes his Bollywood debut with this film.

‘Alone’ is one of the finest and slickest horror films ever shot in India. It will help get the genre the credibility it deserves. Bipasha claims that the film is very scary and no one should go alone to watch it.

However, ‘Alone’ is not the first film in which Bipasha has intimate scene with the actor on screen for a horror movie. She did it in ‘Raaz’. She is uninhibited in admitting that ‘Alone’ is her boldest  work ever.

Combination of intimate scenes and horror adds an intriguing touch to the film. Scary and erotic scenes have always gone hand in hand in Bollywood horror movies, making it an integral part of this genre.

The music of the film is composed by Ankit Tiwari and Mithoon.

‘Alone’, a remake of a Thai film, is about a pair of conjoined twins (both played by Bipasha), of which one survives. The one who dies later returns to haunt her sister as a ghost.
