He mentioned the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, and said a brave soldier from Jharkhand, Lt. Col. Sankalp Kumar, had sacrificed his life for the country. The Prime Minister paid homage to Lt. Col Sankalp Kumar and the other soldiers who were martyred in the attack. He said the country will not forget their sacrifice, and Sankalp Kumar’s martyrdom will continue to inspire future generations.
The Prime Minister said the people of Jharkhand saved the country from a hung Lok Sabha, by helping the BJP achieve a clear mandate in the recent Parliamentary elections. He said now it is time for the people of Jharkhand to save the state, by electing a BJP Government with full majority in the Assembly Elections as well.
The Prime Minister said Jharkhand is such a rich state that it can make all of India prosperous, but the people of the state are poor and unemployed. He said the state needs a Government that works for people’s welfare.
He said that the state should now witness politics of development (vikas ki rajneeti), so that the people can get the benefits of development such as employment, water, power, roads etc.
The Prime Minister also mentioned various schemes launched by the NDA Government, including the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
He urged the people to vote in large numbers, and elect a BJP Government with full majority.
