BJP raises question on the relations of AAP leaders with the Manager of Ford Foundation & Members of her family DUE TO LACK OF TRANSPARENCY COMMON MAN IS WONDERING WHETHER DONATION IS BEING RECEIVED AT THE RATE OF RS. 20,000 PER PLATE OR THE NGO FUNDS ARE BEING DIVERTED.

New Delhi, 1^st December. In a Press Conference BJP Delhi Pradesh General Secretary and MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri said that the Aam Aadmi Party and its leaders have always been claiming about transparency in politics but their claims are far from reality. The AAP has claimed that it collected about 1.5 crore rupees from people donating Rs. 20,000 per head at 2 lunches organized in Mumbai and Delhi on the 26^th November and 30^th November respectively but the party which claims of transparency forgot to inform the people about the names of about 200 people who donated for the party.

Shri Bidhuri said that the economic assistance from Ford foundation to an NGO Pradaan of Miss Meera Sanyal connected with AAP and working in Naxal affected areas is matter of grave concern because it is not clear whether this fund is being spent on the common man or spent on Naxal activities. Similarly, on the one hand AAP talks about lack of donations and on the other hand spents lavishly on campaigns which show that there is discrepancy in the accounts of the party. Due to lack of transparency common man is wondering whether donation is being received at the rate of Rs. 20,000 per plate or the NGO funds are being diverted. Pradesh General Secretaries Shri Ashish Sood, Media Incharge Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor, Spokespersons Shri Harish Khurana and Dr. Dipika Sharmar were also present in the conference.

BJP Delhi Pradesh Spokesperson Shri Ashwani Upadhyay said that the funding of NGOs P.C.R.F. and Kabirconnected with AAP and its leaders Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Shri Manish Sisodiya has been a matter of curiosity for the common man and the volunteers of AAP.

Shri Upadhyay said that Ford Foundation is an American institution and Mrs. Kavita Ramdas is the manager of this institution. This institution has been liberally donating fund to Shri Arvind Kejriwal and his colleagues for the last one decade and this fund is misused in India for various purposes.

Liberal funding by Miss Kavita Ram Das is of vital importance because her father Shri Laxmi Ram Das, Mother Smt. Lalita Ramdas and Sister Miss Sagri Ram Das are members of various committees of AAP. It is also a matter of curiosity for the common man.

Shri Upadhyay said that Shri Arvind Kejriwal and Shri Manish Sisodia have good relations with Congress party and Ford foundation. The proof of this fact is that NGO Kabir of Shri Sisodiya was registered in 2007 and it received Rs. 44 lakh from the Ford Foundation in the year 2005 itself. According to the Indian laws and rules of Ford foundation unregistered NGOs are not given financial assistance. In the year 2005 the then Congress Government had given special permission to the NGO Kabir to receive this amount from Ford foundation.

Pradesh General Secretary Shri Ashish Sood told the press persons that the elections have not yet been announced in Delhi but the expensive campaign already launched by Shri Kerjriwal shows that he has more financial resources than any established political party.
