The high-profile Qatar Executive private jet, which was used to ferry Indian officials to Dominica earlier this year, was seen making round trips between Kabul and Islamabad.

Earlier this year, the luxurious Bombardier Global 5000 carried Indian officials from New Delhi to Dominica’s Douglas-Charles Airport on May 28. The officials were flown to Dominica days after fugitive diamond merchant Mehul Choksi was arrested in the Caribbean island nation for illegal entry.

Open-Source commercial flight data suggests that the same ultra-long-range business jet was used for round trips between Kabul and Islamabad earlier this week.

Moreover, the jet’s flying pattern suggests that it likely carried passenger/passengers from Kabul for a 24-hour stay in Islamabad, before it flew back to Kabul the next day.

The Qatar executive business jet took off from its base of operation at Doha airport at 9-15 am UTC and landed at the Hamid Karzai International Airport at 1-57 UTC, around 6-30 pm local time on Tuesday.

The Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) records of the flight show that the business jet stayed at the Kabul airport for only about 45 minutes, indicating a likely pick up from the airport.

The jet then took off for a 46-minute direct flight to Islamabad International Airport, where it landed around 9 pm local time.

The jet stayed at the Islamabad airport for about 24 hours, suggesting a day-long stay for the visiting passenger/delegation. However, local media reports did not indicate any public meetings between Pakistan and visiting Taliban officials this week.

The next day (on Wednesday), the jet took off from Islamabad at 8-56 pm local time and landed at Kabul airport after a 45-minute flight.

Flight records suggest that the business jet stayed at Kabul airport for 31 minutes. This might indicate that the individual (or delegation) who flew to Islamabad was dropped-off at the airport.

The jet then came back to its base at Doha airport in Qatar after flying for 3 hours 16 minutes.

Neither Pakistan’s foreign ministry nor the Taliban’s official accounts have issued a statement about an official visit between Kabul and Islamabad.

Earlier, a public visit by the chief of Pakistan’s intelligence agency Inter-Services Alliance (ISI), Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed raised global eyebrows as he became the first high-ranking foreign official to visit Afghanistan since the fall of Kabul.

The Qatar Executive charted jet has been in the spotlight for its uncanny knack of showing up in proximity to key global events.

Antiguan Prime Minister Gaston Browne had confirmed that the jet was used by Indian officials earlier in the year when efforts were on to bring fugitive diamond businessman Mehul Choksi back from the Caribbean.

Qatar Executive is a business jet subsidiary of Qatar Airways that operates a fleet of private jets for high profile customers.
