A National Hindu Movement Press Release
14.12.14, New Delhi. National Hindu Movement held an agitation at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 14th December, 2014, in order to raise the demand to immediately close the institutes like ‘South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies’, and take stringent action against them; similarly, to take firm action to prevent malpractices occurring on the night of 31st December on the occasion of Christian New Year. In this agitation, 25 devout Hindus from Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha, Bharat Swabhiman Sangathan and Swadeshi Jagran Manch participated. In Hindustan, boasting of the secular Constitution, a Christian educational institute, ‘South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies’ at Bangalore runs Postgraduate and Ph.D. courses based on the direct curriculum of spread of Christian religion and conversion. This is just a representative example of many such Christian organisations, which are using education as overt or covert means to engage in the conversions. Their practices should be viewed seriously.
This is a clever attempt to cheat the Government under the disguise of educational activities and engage in conversion overtly. The organisations like ‘South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies’ are posing threats to unity and sovereignty of the Nation. Similarly, conversions may pose a danger to social peace and law and order in the country. Presently, due to blind imitation of western culture, the bad practice to celebrate Christian New Year in the midnight at 12.00 hrs. on 31st December instead of on Navsamvatsar has become vogue. The proportion of consumption of alcoholic drinks and other drugs on that night has increased. Molestation of women during the celebration also causes serious law and order problems. It is our first duty to prevent the downfall of Bharatiya culture due to following blindly the western wrongdoings.
*In this connection, National Hindu Movement is raising following demands ……..
- A separate cell should be established to find out the organisations promoting conversions, and immediate actions should be taken through such cell.
- To grant affiliation to such educational institutes in Bharat is a very serious matter. Stringent action should be taken against the government offices for affiliating and aiding financially such institutes.
- Action should be taken against foreign organisations providing financial help to Christian organisations engaged in conversions.
- Permission given to the permit rooms, selling liquor to remain open throughout the night should be withdrawn. Moreover, no target should be fixed for the Excise Department for selling maximum liquor on 31st December.
