He might be on the minds of many as their ideal date today but the quintessential lover boy of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor, is least excited about Valentine’s Day. That’s not all.
Kapoor, who’s made women often skip a beat with his romantic outings such as Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Rockstar (2011) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) claims to have never celebrated the day, even as a teenager.
“I don’t think I have ever celebrated Valentine’s Day,” says the 32-year-old when asked about his V-Day plans. In fact, he reiterates that he doesn’t even believe in celebrating the day. “I think it was created by Archies gallery, Hallmark and all… not really something to take that seriously at all,” insists Ranbir, who recently launched lyricist Irshad Kamil’s book of poems, Ek Maheena Nazmon Ka, amid shooting for his next in Delhi.
When prodded if he was ever into writing poetry, as many in college would do to woo their crush, he says, “No I used to stick to ‘Roses are red, violets are blue… blah blah blah, I love you’.”
