Tata Power organised a free health check-up camp for the tribal community at Govindpur village near Naraj Marthapur project area.The company is committed to improve the quality of healthcare and standard of living of the communities based around the areas of its operation.
Dr Dhananjaya Ram along with the Tata Power community relations team sensitised the villagers and treated for illnesses such as skin diseases, joint pain, back pain, fungal infection, scabies, acidity, cough cold, viral fever, etc.Tata Power’s expert team of doctors provided free consultation and distributed free medicines to more than 60 patients.
Speaking on the initiative, Purushottam Thakur, head, Odisha projects, Tata Power stated, “We at Tata Power have always strived to provide caring, supportive and healthy environment to the community in and around our areas of operation. Such health camp gives us the platform to spread awareness and encouraging local communities to pay heed to their personal healthcare. We are extremely delighted with the response of the villagers and we will continue to organise such health camps for the welfare and sustainable growth of the community.”
The health camp received an overwhelming response by the community and it benefited a large number of senior citizens and children of the tribal community. The community appreciated the efforts made by Tata Power and requested to organise more such camps to sensitise the local community on healthcare and sanitation.
