NEW DELHI
After praising JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar’s Thursday speech, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday launched a fresh attack on the Centre by demanding “freedom from interference of the Centre and LG”.
“Hum kya mangtey-Azadi … LG ke hastakshep se azadi. Kendra ke hastakshep se azadi. Janta ko nirnaya leney ki azadi. Raajnaitik ahankaar se azadi,” tweeted Kejriwal from Jaipur.
Since Thursday night, Kejriwal has been all praises for Kanhaiya’s speech. “What a brilliant speech by Kanhaiya…Heard Kanhaiya’s speech many times. Amazing clarity of thought expressed wonderfully. He said what most people have been feeling. God bless him.” He also took a dig at PM Narendra Modi, saying, “I had said many times-Modi-ji, don’t mess around with students. Modi did not listen.”
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia was not far behind in making the AAP stand clear. “Kanhaiya and JNU given rise to a hope for a decisive battle against dangerous ideology of fake nationalists,” he tweeted.
