Confused what music to listen at this hour? Check out Gaana 5.0 Android App

India’s favourite music service, gets an all new look and feel with added new features and themes to its Android app to make music more exciting and fun. Besides packing a music treat for the users, Gaana 5.0 has launched a referral programme with Paytm, where each user can earn a talktime of up to `100, by inviting friends to Gaana.

The all-new app gets a new, slick, dark theme, built to make music stand out more than anything. Also, one of the other exciting new features of the app is ‘Playlists of the Hour’, where professionally programmed playlists, which change every few hours, will be highlighted. So, if it’s Sunday morning, expect relaxed lazy music, and if it’s Friday night, expect livelier music to start the weekend. The playlists shows at the top of Gaana, starting from the third time a user opens the app.

Its other features include a redesigned player with easy access to music videos, lyrics and more, language filters to select/unselect languages you want to see upfront, Gaana+ Download sync to automatically sync your downloaded music on all of your devices (Gaana+ members only) and Bandwidth adjustment, which offers optimisations to make Gaana faster (for 2G users).

In addition, the mobile referral programme allows users to invite friends to Gaana, and earn `20 free talktime for each friend who joins via Facebook. Users can invite friends directly via Whatsapp, Twitter, SMS, and email too, and earn upto `100 talktime.

Gaana offers the largest catalog in India, with over 3 million songs across 21 languages, across web and mobile. Feedback has already started pouring on social media — user Kshitij Shah @Stuli1989, says, “Take a bow @gaana team. One more solid step towards a more rounded service overall. Much better discovery features!” Says user Prasad @PrasadDuvvuri, “For someone like me who believes that the phone is only as smart as we design it to be, Great, Awesome Intuitive App!!” and user Harsh Vardhan @THEGR8HERO says, “The best thing is you guys update it at regular intervals.”
